Tradeshow Event Planner – Temporary
Job Summary |
The Tradeshow Event Planner is responsible for the coordination of tradeshow and event planning. The ideal candidate will possess expert skill in project management, corporate administration as well as event and tradeshow coordination. This exciting, varied role will incorporate your unmatched ability with the high-level aesthetic experience our customers expect. This role coordinates closely with the Marketing Manager, Sales and Product Development teams to meet swiftly changing deadlines and timelines in a fast moving and entrepreneurial environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities |
- Track task progression on tradeshows and within the marketing department
- Facilitate clear communication and capture highlights and action items from key planning meetings.
- Coordinate all tradeshows and events company-wide, managing planning timelines, coordinating all calls and agendas, working hand in hand with sales team to deliver successful events
- Plan and manage internal/external events and meetings inclusive of the venue selections process, contract review, agendas, all logistical planning including transportation, food and beverage, accommodations, exhibitor services, and budget reconciliation
- Coordinate the development and production of event materials
- Submit and track all event expenses providing cost effective solutions for Marketing, Tradeshows & Events
- Perform post event wrap up for events, including final attendees, budget reconciliation, observations, suggestions for following year, and surveys
Requirements |
- 5 – 7 years of experience in a corporate environment in project management, corporate administration and event/tradeshow planning
- Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal/written communication with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority
- Reliable, focused and detail-oriented
- Ability to excel under pressure and can maintain a calm and pleasant demeanor
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Highly resourceful problem solver and quick learner with an emphasis on team collaboration
- Availability and willingness for 10% on-site domestic travel
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
